About Me
Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my new website. I am so excited to share my ideas, creations and comments with you! I am Karen and I am Lancaster County Lady. I was born in Lancaster County, PA and raised here also. A lot of my design ideas stem from the rich culture of Lancaster County. There is a lot of country, antique, farmhouse and even modern influence here.
I have been doing crafts and projects ever since I can remember. Watching the ladies at the quilting bees, checking out a local tatting artist at a college event, watching a street artist create amazing paintings with spray cans, sitting beside a mentor as she sewed clothing and crafts for her family and to donate to charity. All these people and moments in my life have formed who I am today and given me the creative spirit, that I can’t depress, which is sometimes a blessing and a curse!
I love antiquing, public sales, estate sales, and second-hand shops and one of my passions is creating products from repurposed items to give them new life. By looking at items differently you can find new ways to use them or display them.
Another one of my passions is teaching you how to create my beautiful designs, especially when you are so sure you can’t. I love to see the expression on a student’s face when they’ve created a project, they thought they couldn’t possibly do! I create designs that are simple yet beautiful, with room left for your own unique style!
I believe everyone should be treated as they would want to be treated and try live by that Bible verse that says “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” Matthew 7:12
